Replacing the IRAF/PyRAF Code-base at STScI: The Advanced Camera for Surveys (ACS) MYRaf software is an important step for the automated software process of robotic telescopes, and uses IRAF, PyRAF, matplotlib, ginga, alipy, and Sextractor with the general-purpose and high-level programming language Python and uses the QT framework. MYRaf software is an easy to use, reliable, and has a fast IRAF aperture photometry GUI tools. In this study, the design and some developments of MYRaf software for astronomical photometric reduction are presented. MYRaf: A new Approach with IRAF for Astronomical Photometric Reduction Debugging is simplified since the programmer is able to get a better understanding of the structure of his/her code, and IRAF library procedure calls (probably the most common source of errors) are automatically checked for correctness. Tools have been written to aide both novice and advanced SPP programmers with development and debugging by providing tasks to check the code for the number and type of arguments in all calls to IRAF VOS library procedures, list the calling sequences of IRAF tasks, create a database of identifiers for quick access, check for memory which is not freed, and a source code formatter. SPP is the machine-independent programming language used by virtually all IRAF tasks. SPPTOOLS: Programming tools for the IRAF SPP languageĪn IRAF package to assist in SPP code development and debugging is described. Also offering techniques for tuning Oracle and Linux structures that run on an IBM power system-as well as for the new AIX 6.1-this manual discusses what tools are available, how to best use them to collect historical data, and when to analyze trends and results. Tips based on years of experience from an AIX tuning master show specific steps for monitoring and tuning CPU, virtual memory, disk I/O, and network components. Driving the Power of AIX Performance Tuning on IBM PowerĪ concise reference for IT professionals, this book goes beyond the rules and contains the best practices and strategies for solid tuning methodology.
